Emmy award winning journalist Wisdom Martin is co-anchor on the WUSA 9 morning show "Get Up DC" 4am-7am weekday mornings. Wisdom also host the streaming show “A Moment of Wisdom” on WUSA9plus , a daily financial segment “Where is the Money”& coanchors a football pregame show “”Commanders Kickoff”. He previously anchored WTTG morning news 4am-6am and hosted "Good Day DC" from 9am-11am. For more than 20 years ,He has covered it all in the DMV. He was first reporter on scene for the stations Emmy award winning live coverage of the serial bank robbery. He reported live from Miami on the murder of NFL player and rising Washington football star Sean Taylor and from New Orleans, covered the devastation of Hurricane Katrina live in New Orleans, as well as several presidential inaugurations. Wisdom also hosted a podcast “The Unconventional Wisdom."
Wisdom is the author of "Pass Interference: The History of the Black Quarterback in the NFL." He has also written two more books "Conventional Wisdom" Volumes 1 and 2.
Wisdom is a proud graduate of Jackson State University and has covered both sports and news in Jackson Mississippi (WAPT), California (KSEE) North Carolina, (WRAL), Nashville (WKRN), and CNN in Atlanta Georgia.
